Photogrammetry and wax model
For the surface scanning assignment, I scanned the wax écorché model I made last semester using photogrammetry and cleaned it up digitally in ZBrush, then uploaded the final model on Sketchfab.
The facial écorché model was inspired by Bell's Palsey cases observed in volunteers after receiving the Pfizer vaccine against COVID 19. Here are some glimps into the process of sculpturing and colouring the model using wax and oil painting.
Here is a another behind-the-scenes photo of me using the Artec scanner in the studio.
I scanned the model with Spider and Eva Artec scanner and took photos for photogrammetry. After comparing the result, I ended up choosing the photogrammetry scan as it picked up the skin colour and the texture nicely.
The model is cleaned up in ZBrush.
The final model can be viewed on my Sketchfab.
